THE DROP ZONE: OFFICIAL RULES & TERMS OF PLAY

Welcome to the ultimate high-stakes golf challenge. By purchasing a Drop Zone bucket and stepping onto the mat, you agree to the following rules and regulations. Please read them carefully before taking your shot!

1. The Objective & How to Win

• The Sensor is the Judge: To win the rolling jackpot, your golf ball must successfully enter the target hole on the 70 – 80 yard structure viewed on the monitor
• Close Doesn’t Count: Hitting the metal truss, bouncing off the target board, or lip-outs do not count. If the ball doesn’t fall down the hole and into the tube it doesn’t count.

2. Fair Play & Video Verification

• The Eye in the Sky: Our bay is rigged with automated 4K cameras. Every single winning shot is subject to a quick video review by our staff to verify the win.
• The Hitting Zone: The winning shot must be struck cleanly with a golf club from the designated Drop Zone hitting mat. Any foul play—including throwing balls, using unauthorised equipment, or hitting from the grass beyond the safety line—will result in immediate disqualification.

3. Claiming the Jackpot

• The Payout: If you trigger the Drop Zone, step back and notify a member of staff immediately! Once the footage is verified, you will be presented with our novelty cheque for your winner’s photo, and the prize money will be issued via bank transfer
• The Reset: The moment the jackpot is won, the game pauses, and the prize pot instantly resets to the base starting amount for the next player.

4. Age Restrictions (Under 18s Policy)

• Game of Skill: The Drop Zone is legally classified as a game of skill, meaning players of all ages are welcome to take on the challenge!
• Purchasing & Payouts: If you are under 18, an adult (18+) must purchase your bucket of balls. Furthermore, if a player under 18 triggers the jackpot, a parent or legal guardian must be physically present at the bay to claim the prize on their behalf. Minors cannot legally claim the cash payout directly.

5. Media & Camera Consent

• Hero or Heartbreak: We capture the greatest moments (and the most agonising misses) for our social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, etc.). By playing, adult players consent to being filmed and featured in our marketing. For players under 18, the purchasing adult provides this consent.
• Opting Out: We completely respect your privacy. If you or your child do not wish to be filmed, simply inform the Drop Zone staff before you take your first swing, and we will happily disable the cameras for your session.

6. Safety & Bay Etiquette

• One Player Per Bucket: The person who purchased the bucket must be the one taking the shots. You cannot substitute another player in to hit your final balls for the jackpot.
• Stay Behind the Line: For your own safety, never cross the red safety line at the front of the bay. If a ball rolls off the mat into the grass, leave it.
• Venue Rules: All standard health, safety, and operational rules of the host golf centre apply at all times while in the bay.

7. The Golden Rule

• Management Decision: In the event of any dispute, technical malfunction, sensor error, or suspected foul play, the Drop Zone Duty Manager has the final sa

• No Professional Golfers
  The Drop Zone is an amateur-only challenge! To keep the playing field level, this competition is not open to professional golfers (including P.G.A. pros or anyone receiving payment for play or instruction). This one is for the weekend warriors and rising stars!
• No Alignment Sticks
  It’s all about your natural skill and “feel” under the neon lights! Alignment sticks and training aids are strictly prohibited on the tee. We want to see your raw talent.
• No Sharing Buckets
  To keep the game moving and fair for everyone in the queue, it is one bucket per person. No sharing of buckets is allowed—each player must have their own to participate in the challenge!

Under 18s Rules and regulations 

THE DROP ZONE: UNDER 18 PARENTAL WAIVER & RULES

To comply with UK data protection (GDPR) and financial laws regarding cash competitions, all players under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to agree to the following terms:

1. Media & Social Media Consent 

The Drop Zone is an automated content experience. By signing or ticking the consent box, you, the parent/guardian, grant DZX VENTURES LIMITED  the right to film, photograph, and broadcast your child’s gameplay (the “Hero or Heartbreak” moments) across our social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and marketing materials. (Note: If you wish for your child to play but DO NOT want them filmed, please inform our staff immediately so we can disable the bay cameras for your session).

2. Jackpot Payouts & Financial Responsibility 

Minors cannot legally enter into financial contracts or claim physical cash prizes. If a player under the age of 18 successfully triggers the Drop Zone target:

• The cash jackpot will be awarded directly to the consenting parent/legal guardian.
• The parent/guardian must be physically present at the bay to verify the win and accept the payout (via instant bank transfer).

3. Safety & Supervision 

The Drop Zone is a high-energy environment, but it is still an active driving range. The consenting adult is fully responsible for ensuring the minor follows all safety rules, including staying behind the red safety line at all times and swinging only from the designated mat.
